Baptisms
Well I did my first confirmation today. It was quite terrifying. I think that I did good though. I have another one next week. The baptisms are coming left and right. Lol. We are starting to find families and people who are truly prepared. It is amazing.

Trainer
I'm going to be a trainer this transfer. I have only been out for 3 months can you believe it? I figured out that I am not really good at a lot of things, but I am really good at missionary work. I try so hard to have the spirit with me everywhere I go. People just see it. Even one of our investigators is like whoa, you dont even look the same anymore hahaha.
So, as far as the work goes, my companion and I opened this area 3 months ago. Yesterday we set the first 2 baptismal dates and we will have 2 more later this week. It has been a great 3 months with a lot of hard work and being super obedient. Our numbers last week went through the roof. I am so excited for these next 2 tansfers:) because I am training, I will be here for another3 months:) Yipee!
Things out here have been way nice it has been like warm outside. It is way weird but Im not complaining. We tract a lot but it is so much fun getting out and talking to people and we always meet really crazy people haha. but also we have about 9 investigators right now that we teach pretty regularly and 4 of them should be baptized this month.
It is so incredible to see the change that this gospel brings about in the lives of these investigators. We have one lady who quit smoking and just seems like a completely different person. She is happy which is kind of a new thing for her. I truly do love being a missionary and because of the lord I truly can say that I am pretty good at it:)

Becoming a trainer
Hey Family,
Good news, I am going to be a trainer!! Jeez that never happens to missionaries that have only been out three months. It is a really cool responsibility.
I was wondering if you could get me some space bags for when I do have to move. For now I am staying in the same area and I will be here for another 3 months. I am really excited and we have a lot of good things going on here.
The winter here has been really weird too. Some days have been hot and others really cold so I don’t know what to expect. I hope that we just skip winter..
Things are going great though and tell dad that i appreciate that comic it is way funny.
Is there anything i can get for you guys? Oh, also, do you guys have an extra set of clippers that you can mail out to me so I can cut my own hair? It is so much better to just do it myself. and a sonicair toothbrush if you are feeling really generous J.
Thanks for all the cereal I am loving it!
Tell Kylie that I am proud of her and to keep up the good work and tell Sierra to just keep on keeping on haha she will find a girl to be her friend one day. Maybe the lord doesn’t want her to be friends with any of those girls. I miss you guys a lot and I hope you are doing ok..
I love you
Love,

Christmas Talk
I am glad that you had a great Christmas :) that makes me pretty happy!
As far as stuff to send me, nothing that I will have to carry around. Gift cards are great and I don’t really know what else, but I will be sure to let you know when I need stuff:)
I love you guys and It was great to talk to you. I will be able to call again on Mother’s day and hopefully I can talk a little longer..
Is there anything I can do for you guys??
Have you and Dad been going to the temple often? I remember before I left, you guys said you were going to try and go more. When you go to the temple, it will bless Kylie and Sierra and me and Tiffany. I never knew that till recently. Plus, it will help you guys out . I was just wondering though. I love the temple.
Anyways, Let me know how things are going? Love, Elder Phillips

Testimony of Prayer...
Hey,
My week went great though. We probably won’t have a baptism for a while, but my testimony of prayer has really grown. We were having a hard time with our investigators and so I was praying a lot and now we have three new awesome investigators that I think we can really help.
It is pretty cool to see how much the lord blesses us and takes care of us.
This week it has gotten nasty cold. And I don’t like it haha. Yesterday I got to sing at a fireside though. I sang O come all ye faithful with a Ukelele. it was pretty cool. There were a lot of people there too..
This week was pretty normal though not much going on. I am kind of getting used to this whole waking up early and working all day thing it is really cool :) Can you make sure to send me lots of protein and stuff. I am losing tons of weight and I don’t know why I am shriveling up.
Tell Kylie I said Congrats! That is awesome. Can she graduate now?? I hope so.. I have Christmas presents for Kylie and Sierra that I hope they like. I think they are really cool though. I will probably send them sometime this week.
Well, I love you guys and miss you. I’ll talk to you next week!
Love,

Baptisms and Transfers
I emailed dad everything lol. but I love you and can you email my bishop in Vegas and tell him that I said thanks for the present. I would love to hear from him. I hope everything keeps looking up. I know it is for me even though it is getting way colder, which totally sucks!!!
Every week can you update me on how much money is in my account that I can use?? Because I have no idea, I probably won’t use it often, but it would be good to know.
Anyway, Have a great week!

Hey,
this last month has been a crazy one. 41 people were baptized in our mission and we need to baptize 40 more in order to reach our goal. So please pray for us as we continue to try and reach that. I know it is possible; it is just going to be hard. We need all of the help we can get.
Things are going great here and it is starting to get really cold. Do you have a jacket that you can send me that isn’t super long like the one that I have? I really could use one that isn’t like a dress for most days.
I finished one transfer and I am well on my way now. Carl our investigator came to church yesterday and it was the best testimony meeting I have been to out here. I was really surprised, because all of the weird people didn’t go up lol. A lot didn’t even come to church, it is weird here, once people hear about snow they like shut down and don’t even leave their houses. Must be a Midwest thing, a guy told me that last year people got mad at the bishop for not cancelling church when it snowed hahahaha. People are crazy.
I have been teaching a lot of African American people and they are the coolest people ever. It is really awesome to see how the lord has people prepared for us.
Oh! We also got one of the brand new mission cars, that is pretty cool I think. It is a lot of fun. How are you guys doing? I miss home a lot, but this time really is flying by. Sundays just keep popping by it is really cool:) Soon I will be back!
Are you ever going to send me your conversion story? Like about how the missionaries just had all of the answers and stuff??? I could really use that. It doesn’t have to be anything elaborate, just your testimony and experience with missionaries. I won’t share it with people if you don’t want me to. I would like to read it though.
Sierra- How are you?. I heard you are in a lot of pain. Try to push through it and be strong, but listen to the doctors and do what they say so you can get better. Are you exercising? Try to stay active, I know it will help :) I miss you!
Kylie- Hey! Good job on your grades! Keep it up and get all your work in so you can get A's you have to get that new car so you don’t have to walk everywhere in Kansas. Heck you need to get your license first lol. When are you getting that? You doing ok? Let me know if I can do anything for you. I am getting you and Sierra both an awesome Christmas present!!
I Love you!!
